A work in process to be sure, this last year I have spent a lot of energy getting the ol' casa fam-ready...

Where possible, we used only natural, re-claimed, or non-toxic materials in the remodel. The only real splurge is the granite counter top in the kitchen, it's from the overseas so it has some built-in energy waste... Everything else, from the FSC lumber to the dual-flush toilet, is entirely eco.

The backyard, as most by now are aware of, is home to our little flock of chickens, an organic veg. garden, and a few fruit trees.

While there is still a lot of work to be done, the little place is truly home for us. Just in time for our next edition to come into our lives. If I can bear it, I'll post a room-by-room of the remodel before the baby arrives!
